Award-winning pizza concept signs its seventh franchise group, further strengthening its presence in Montgomery County and the DMV

WASHINGTON, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Timber Pizza Co., the award-winning, neighborhood-driven pizza franchise known for its wood-fired pizzas and community-focused approach, has signed a two-unit development agreement in Chevy Chase and Bethesda, Maryland, marking another significant milestone in the brand’s strategic growth throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

The agreement was signed by Kyle and Carolyn (Hodsgon) McDonnell, a local husband-and-wife team, who will bring two Timber Pizza Co. locations to the area. Carolyn grew up in nearby Kensington, giving the couple strong ties to the communities they will serve across Montgomery County and Upper Northwest Washington, D.C. The deal marks Timber Pizza Co.’s second store in Maryland and moves the brand closer to its goal of reaching 15 locations by the end of 2027.

Through its fleet of mobile pizza trucks and busy catering operation, Timber Pizza has become a familiar presence at weddings, corporate events, festivals and community gatherings throughout Maryland and the broader DMV region, helping build strong brand awareness and a loyal customer following well beyond its restaurant footprint.

The relationship between the McDonnells and Timber Pizza Co. began several years ago when Timber catered the grand opening of the golf club. What started as a catering partnership evolved into a friendship with Brady, giving the couple a firsthand look at the brand’s commitment to hospitality, quality and community.
